| So my 67 baja is getting rid of the swing axle and getting a new IRS pan under it soon and i want to do some things before the body goes back on. So far i have decided to put some urethane trailing arm bushings on. Im also going to get the pan (with new floors) coated with bedliner and i think im going to take it to a shop to have them bend some tubing to sort of "box in" the frame. I'll show a picture of what i want later, but right now i got to get to an english class (boring). So if any of you have some ideas or modifications to do while the body is off, please share. |

Ok here is what im going to have done as far as a base frame. I think im also going to buy a pre-bent 6 point cage from Chirco and weld it in.
The tubing in the bottom of this picture is what im referring to.
And it will continue forwards up to the front beam like this
Im really excited about finally getting a cage in my car. Ive had my baja for about three years and have wanted to build a cage since i first got it, but i wanted to wait untill i got an IRS pan to start. So soon i shall finally start.[/img] |
