One giveaway is to look at the exhaust ports. A T1, T2 and T3 will port forward and back of the cylinders. A T4 ports downward. Although, there are some (really expensive) aftermarket heads for a T4 to port forward and back like a T1.
There are DTM T1 shrouds, T1 fuel injection systems, T1 turbos, etc. etc. This can make it hard to determine what kind of engine it is from just looking. The exhaust ports will almost always ID it. |
