Kind of a hobby of mine. I've been using the Ultima line of products and have been extremely pleased with the results. Their Wipe On Walk Away sealant, Ultima Paint Guard Plus, is absolutely amazing. Got rid of all of my Zaino stuff after I used this line. (Note "Halloween" code for 20% off.)

| Meguiar’s Next Generation car wash, Zymol for wax, Simichrome for polished metal or chrome, 303 Aerospace Protectant for interior (nice satin finish), P21S Wheel Cleaner |

| Armor-all for the dash, part of the door cards, exterior rubber parts, floor mats. Then mild dish soap in hot water for the rest of the outside. I use a somewhat gentle bristle brush on the wheels and tires. I have yet to detail the engine bay as.. its exposed to the outdoors (hopefully for not much longer) but i can recommend you keep water away from the engine bay if you could. |

| Zymol and Mother's make a great wax. 303 is made in my home town (Redding, CA) and is an awesome treatment for any rubber, vinyl, etc. I am partial to the Meguiar's soap for washing. |

Another vote for 303 for the vinyl.
The dish soap suggestion is an absolutely horrible idea for the exterior unless you are intentionally trying to strip wax.
Four Star Ultimate Tire Protectant Spray (w/polycharger) is the best, longest lasting tire product I've found (and I've tried...and given away....dozens) IF you want a satin, not glossy, finish. |

| X2 on the Zymol wax, we use that on all of our cars, and it works great. |

| Meguiar’s products seem to work well for me. I agree with GatorJZ, dish soap is too harsh unless you want to strip wax. Simple Green is awesome to use on tires and anywhere road grime collects. I use compressed air to help remove moisture out of those tight areas. Liquid Glass is a nice polish/finisher. I learned about 3M Finesse for buffing from a good friend of mine in here. I do use it by hand if I notice something small, it really is an incredible product(pricey, you get what you pay for though).I do use ArmorAll on the tires and running boards, but like to wipe most of it off after it soaks a while. It makes the rubber look very clean, but not shiney that way. I give the interior a once over with Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer, and the exterior I do the same with Meguair's Ultimate Quick Detailer. I think I will try some Zymol too, I always hear that stuff is good. |

Unless your car isnt waxed, is actually primer, and is in fact comprised significantly of rubberized undercoating. He asked what i used i told him :P
Fine, for stuff thats glossy, like my yamaha, i use turtlewax, after intentionally stripping the wax off with dish soap. If i wax over wax like you're 'supposed to' it ends up looking greasy and milky. It's also a chance to get in under the bugs and right down to the clear coat and start over. |

| i detail cars on my off days from the fd and i use Meguiar’s for everything except tires. good ole floor polish is the best thing for tires. makes em look wet and clean and does not attract dust like other stuff. Tough stuff is awesome for hard stains in carpet too. woolite brings out the color better. |
