| Nope... just run a wire to the negative side of the coil and wire the power, ground and light. |

| Just read the instructions and make sure it's set to 4 cylinders and not 6 or 8. |

| thanks that was my next question. sorry for all the dumb newbie questions. its been about 10 years since i messed with a vw. finally got one again. |
