I've a 72 Beetle that unfortunately has had and continues to have considerable rust buildup within the fuel system. This I have dealt with in stages recently, from sealing the gas tank, flushing the lines, fuel pump, and replacing the filter.
It has thus come down to the carburetor, which is now clogged with the accumulated particles of rust the previous filter had allowed through.
Bearing in mind I have little mechanical experience, a detailed explanation would be appreciated, how would one go about cleaning this obstruction? |
