| Nice and clean looking rail you have there. How does it handle in desert with the spindle mount front wheels? |

Thanks!
Don't know.......I just got it and I'm taking care of some minor issues like bushings. It still needs new bushings on the front where the spindles attach to the arms. It's WAY squirrley on the asphalt. I fixed something on one of the carbs and took it around the block last night and did not like the way it feels. I'm sure it would be alot better off road but either way I've got some pretty good play where I need those bushings.
It will be primarily a sand car. I don't think these are made to do hard-pack.
Contacted Prowlers this morning and they are waiting on them to be made. Week and a half at least. |

I'm new to the site, but ive been around vw's for a long time . I figured as much as i enjoy looking at what everyone else has, I might as well share some of mine. This is my old chenowth that Ive had for about 4 years give or take. I took this photo at the end of a 30 mile trek into the desert of eastern Oregon yesterday. Sorry for the crappy quality its from a cell phone camera :)
And one more from along the trail
and my other off roader , a 59 glitterbug that i restored about 11 years ago

If you are talking about the rear shocks they are tied to the cage in the back of the car. You can see them just behind the back of the body. |

My cousin just got hold of a 9 chassis and is putting it together for the Midnight special. I can't believe how limited the suspension is in this class! You would think they'd let you guys use IRS at least.
I was out helping pit for Don Wall's 16 car at the Mint and Caliente and didn't see you run. You going to Ridgecrest? |

I normally wont be running SNORE.
You will see me most of the time at the MORE races. That is where the bulk of the 9 cars are. My next race is the MORE Chili Cook-off in September. |

Street legal, 1600 dp. Couple times a year on the street and a few trips to the desert, Big Bear, and Pismo beach.
