I now know that the jets in my ict's are too small. My mechanic recommended that i buy larger ones, but did not give a size. I have a newly rebuilt 1800cc type 4 engine. Has anyone else had to get new ict jets and if so what size?

Before any recommendations can be made ... a few questions. What is your fuel pressure? Have you set your floats? Assuming that these are out of the box ICTs ... what jets are in it currently? Out of the box they come with 130 mains, 52 idles, and 160 air correction jets.

i have no idea of what the fuel pressure is and no way to measure it i also don't have any tools to check or adjust the float. the jets are standard out of the box.

Okay, can you get the name off the pump? Here is a link to the ICT diagram, this will give you a visual to the idle, main and air correction jets.

In order to advise we need to know what you have, what symptoms you are having, any mods to the engine as in cam or compression and altitude you are at.

I also had to rejet my Weber 40 IDF so don't feel by your lonesome. I called them and told them what I was running and changed them per there recommendation and they were right on. I get between 17 and 19 MPH now on my 1648.

135 mains 55 idles is what I put on mine - 1700. Out of the box they're too small. If you're doing it yourself you need this...
