I need to move to Brazil. You guys have the coolest Baja kits.

It's my understanding that the Bugs in Brazil are all swingaxle. So all of these Bajas are converted to IRS. Correct?

WOW

Nice car, I bet that thing has no problem with power.

Those are really unique and cool looking baja kits, never seen those before.

And, much fun in the mud.......... I am jealous.

Looks like fun , Need to get a 5/1600 race gong on there .
It would be a fun drive to there from the states if it could be done?

While that's a damn nice looking car, but I cannot help but wonder - how many miles will you get out of those CV joints before they self destruct?

Are there two outboard CV joint outer races? The lift in the rear of those Baja's is insane. I run VW bus CV's and I can't get near those angles without clicking noises.

marcelo cenora Wed Oct 28, 2009 5:26 am

haha... sometimes i ear these noises hahah.. but a little bit.

Let me rephrase my question:

you have small bolt pattern 5 lug rims. We get large 5 X 205 mm bolt patterns or 4 X 130. We can't use wheels made for other cars.

If those hubs you use are standard VW, and the bolt pattern fits some other car, we could get some variety going in in the wheel department.

what is the bolt pattern, and are those hubs and stubs standard vw parts?

Where can I buy one of those baja kits. I think they are way cool.

Mal evolent Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:11 am

what do we have in abundance up here
that they need down there?
maybe we could arrange a swap.

marcelo cenora Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:33 am

i īm using a ford ranger five spokes 5 x 114 wells and the bolts from ford f-1000 truck, vw disk brakes front and panel rear are customed to make that.. all with 4,4 mm extend

rear disk brakes are come.

who wants the kit ??? i feel like bussiness rsss

CLSkier Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:41 am

I think there might a line forming for the kit and the dash.

does the back window open up an the rolled yellow baja?

contact mike at rancho tranmsission. he imported some of those treansmission cases. they use a different differential too. its a standard type 1 transmission with a rabbit bell housing. makes for an easy GTI engine swap into your car

marcelo cenora Wed Oct 28, 2009 10:30 am

oh yes, the window opens. for what i donīt no hahahaha

next time i hope to do a rear suspension upgrade. your shock systems are too interest me.
