Just bought 5mm cloth braided fuel hose from CIP1. Its looks great, but is really a hard-press fit on the carb., fuel pump, filter, metal line and fuel tank spout for my '71 Bus with 34-PICT 3 and 1600 DP.
Should it be this hard to press and twist on or should it slip on easier? Did I buy the wrong fuel hose?
I hate these small problems, but small problems are better than those large nasty ones! :D |

| It's ok to lubricate the end of the hose that slips over the fitting to help it slip on, 5mm is the right size. The tight fit is why people think they can get away without using hose clamps. |
