View original topic: dual faucet for late camper - who sells one

I ordered a faucet from Bus Depot, but they are out of stock and don't have any idea if they'll ever get more.

I need the one that has a lever on it so it works on the pump or on water from the shore connection.

VW Part number 231070802A

Here's what I ordered and was out of stock.

I searched google for that part number and only found references to the bus depot page. searched teh classifieds here and got no results for the word faucet.

Thanks.

check some of the RV sites. I got a few of my westy parts checking RV sites out.

I'm searching google now. Found out they're made by J&C WATER SYSTEMS, INC, but can't find the dual water ones, only singles in stock anywhere.

Hopefully either I'll find them on google, or someone here will know.

Terry.

Marine supply stores often carry the 12v faucet pumps, they may have other fixtures too.

I got one from Bus Depot and also from a local camper place, same thing. BUT, you cannot close the lid on your cabinet- it will hit. Ask me how mine got bent, go ahead. That's why I bought 2 faucets. Now the damn thing leaks at the base of the spout. I 'm gonna find something better......

Nobody has this because J&C stopped making it some time ago. We hope to have new production in a few weeks to a month. It will be made on the original tooling (which is old and tired, frankly, but it isn't economically viable to retool. Once the tooling wears out that will be it for these faucets.) Getting the 90 degree bend close enough to the spigot base that the stove lid doesn't touch the top of the spigot has been a challenge, but we are aware of the importance and doing our best. Worst comes to worst, carefully bending the spigot a tiny bit more or maybe shimming the stove lid by a fraction of an inch to raise it might be preferable to obsoleting the original part entirely, but hopefully it won't come to that.

I don't have a lid on my cabinet so the bend on the neck won't effect me:

I spent a half hour on the phone and then went to the local RV parts places. NOTHING.

I think I might be able to rig up a Y connector with a lever underneath and then use a single like this one:

I saw those faucets for as little as $12.95 in my search last night. I already replaced the counter laminate and cut the holes for the faucet and the pump switch so I'm trying to stick to the original holes.

Quite possibly the $13 one you found is a different faucet that doesn't accept city water at all. I'd double check, because the one you in your picture wholesaled for more than $13, so something doesn't seem right. If it were really $13 it might be worth monkeying around with, maybe you could rig it to work with some effort. But not for $29 (unless you need a faucet fast), as for that price you'll be able to get the correct OEM one in the not-too-distant future.
