Reassembled the dash on my '73 after stripping everything down for paint. I've got all my lights working, but no turn signals or flashers. The bulbs all work, but when you hit the blinker switch the dash blinkers do not light and nothing blinks. When you turn on the flasher the flasher switch lights and both dash blinkers light, but nothing flashes.
First suspect is the relay, as it could have gotten wet in all the cleaning prior to paint. Can I pick up one of these at my local FLAPS?
If not, does anyone know of a shop in Tampa, FL that would have them? I'll be there tomorrow.
Thanks. |

| Your flasher switch has come apart. The top portion (plastic, with all the wires attached) separated from the botom portion (metal, with the pullout switch in it) and now nothing works. Snap it back together, wrap it with a zip tie and you'll never have to worry about it again. |

I was so hoping that was it. But it's not. Switch is intact. I wiggled things around just to see if anything happened, but nothing.
Could be the switch though. I should pull it out and clean everything. |

| we did what you did and kept blowing fuses. It was a bad relay. Check your fuses and replace the relay. They are inexpensive and available. |

| You can get the flasher unit off the shelf at any flaps. Just replaced mine last week, and I think it ran me $10 from schucks. |

| Picked up a flasher relay today. On a road trip, will try it out tomorrow evening and post results. |

| And the flasher fixed it. Now on to the next problem. |
