IIRC, there is no gasket for the handle. There is one for the lock cylinder, though. Is that what you mean?
Shoot - mow that I have no slider door anymore my memory is getting foggy. |

| I got mine from the busdepot, but only after they sent me the wrong part the first time around and in the end it took weeks. hopefully someone else sells them too. |

Yes - there are actually two gaskets.
One is a black plastic piece that sits in the door - common and easy to find. They don't wear out. The second is a hard foam gasket that sits between the handle and the black plastic piece. It keeps out weather and keeps the handle tight. Probably 99% of the bus owners today don't know it ever existed as the foam eventually rots away in 30 years. I bought the last foam one that busboys had about a year ago. It had been sitting on a back shelf. Recently I bought some Vanagon ones since they will ne NLA soon too. They appear to be similar in size. There is also a black plastic piece that sits around the locking mechanism on the late bays. |
