has anyone ever made a single holley 2bbl set-up for the type 4? The jetting is easy and infinite to set. I've always tried to stay away from duals due to the difficulties in keeping them synced in our crappy climate (great white north). A single always make the best sense so a lot of us run the weber. This carb take a bit of fussing with out of the box but it's a reliable, yet boring performer afterwards. A realy holley would be nice. If anyone's got pics of something liket that- post it up.

You need to have a good heat source to a centermounted carb. I have never seen anyone do it well on a type 4 engine.

Good with good dual carbs. Once they are properly set up, they will run without many issues for a long time.

VW did it and so have I and others. Works well, but a lot of work so I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't want to do a bit of fabrication/reinventing.

This thread contains just about anything one might hope to learn about the progressive.

If you still have the FI, there are a lot of guys on here with experience on it. It might be your best bet.
