Well...If you dont know me, Some of you probably do..I Was the passenger in Skids car during the calico run!..anyway..I Got this baja not to long ago from a friend who kept it in San felipe. About 4 years ago it made its way to So-cal. It has alot of character (rust and body damage) But something about this one (despite all the bad stuff) makes me want to keep it and drive it.
Well enough talk, Here she is
The day i got it home :o
Picked up a few things for the build
Welder
Red top w/ kartek battery holder :P
new steering wheel
new to me door panels (old) 8)
got rid of my coil over beam for this warrior beam with adjusters and 8inch towers (not read for coilovers yet)
The roll cage (which i plan to add on to,then build one as soon as i get good at welding)
One Race seat ( i think its a old beard) Guy only had one :-(
Race 1 peice front end (craked near fender) :?
and last but not least a 1600dp motor w/ dual weber ict's :D
Hopefully next week i will start putting stuff on (weather permiting) |

| Do alot of the racers cut the bugs into convertibles for ease of build/assembly and to lose a few pounds? |

| Im not sure about skids reason, I know another guy who cut his cause he rolled it. Some are OG convertibles. I dont think it has anything to do with weight. Good luck on the build Biz. I'll be watchin the build  |

Mine is an OG 'vert...
As far as where to cut, everything but the gas tank mount! I know that sounds silly, but you can cut more out - it would just force you to fab up the gas tank mount to keep it in the stock location. Many guys on here have gone that route as well. Depends on how much fab work you want to do. |
