I can't find it anywhere. I am installing a taco plate and want to replace the seal while I'm there. Is there an alternative I can get at a FLAPS or something?
Thanks!
It's a Type IV 1.8 liter |

| A FLAPS may have it, as might a bearing house, or a place that specializes in o-rings and seals. If it can't be found locally it is certainly available from many online dealers. |

Cool, I called a local VW place and explained to them what I needed but when I got there they handed me the gasket for the oil screen instead :?
I heard that Bus Boys has them but couldn't find it on their site. I'll try German Supply. Thanks! |

The Bus Boys one is too thin and leaks badly. Get the one from from German Supply Randy linked to above. |

Yep. Black and leaky. It gave me fits. I tried to remount it three times, which of course requires draining all your oil. Finally saw Scott's and gave it a try and it sealed first time, no issues. |
