OK, now I see a real day being made of these challenges. How bout someone come up with a drag race challenge day of busses and so on? I've got a buddy who has a Maverick we've been working on together. He likes to drag race. So I promised him I would race him with my bay when he's done. What sort of times could I expect with a 70 bay or a split?

It is my car. It only seems like a chick car until you go into a 25 mph turn at 50+ :shock: The most fun I have ever had in a car...with my clothes on. :lol:

as a owner of both bay and splittys. i have been driving buses for a short time compared to others but for 10 years. i have owned splittys allmost exclusivly. but after driving a 68 bay i have opt for the bay as my long haul across the alcan from alaska to oregon. dont get me wrong i love all three splittys i currently own but my bays are just plain a pleasure to drive and the low lites hold enough style and retro to please me. so drive what you like and and as far as 12v my 67 splitty was 12v from the factory. on long hauls a bay has less moving parts to fail and extra width at the nose is welcomed after a few hours behind the wheel.

enjoy what you drive and choose for your self as that is the only way you can be sure.

race taxi is no joke!! especially when passing tose exotic cars on the track. this is my buddy daves shit, over two liters and a lot of work done too it, nothing mechanically factory anymore. tears up the strip from time to time.

ive seen bays on the strip too but im not a fan of going super fast, especially being so close to the nose.
