I read every page...you're right. There were like two people that actually provided a coherent reason as to why they prefer splits. Never knew there was such snobbery in the VW world. Sheesh. |

Shhhhhh!
Don't tell anyone but some of my friends that are very seriously into splits, and early bugs have quietly confided their desire to have a Bay Window. Naturally, they can't openly say it because it is against all the silly rules. |

| I had a 64 SP with dual 500 CFM Webers and it ran strong even going uphill it would hold it speed at 60 MPH with out straining. I even got 20 MPH to the gallon. That was back in the mid 70's. |
