I am looking for the first Car I owned, a 1970 VW Beetle. The Car is still running its plates "LOWCAL 1" The Bug was White when I last saw it in 1985. I was told it was sold to someone in the Bay area? I have one of the old Registration cards, the Vin# 1102324*** So if you own this Car, or know the person who does, please contact me!!

Hope you didn't get your hair caught in the fan belt!
With luck, someone in the bay area knows where the car is.
Years ago, you could go to the DMV and get info on a vehicle, for security reasons that is no longer true.
I'm assuming that this car was Calif. registered. California vanity plates can be resold, IIRC, if they are still being used, there is a possibility they could be on another car.

Ha, luckily the Engine was turned off. I wish I could go to the DMV for info, but due to the privacy act, and anti-stalking laws, it makes it difficult to track down PO's of your current Car? I know I can't get any info on my 58, simply because it has not been registered in over 25 years, the 70 on the other hand is currently tagged!
