Directory updated. Mark it a cool 15, now.

I've been glancing at these blogs - everyone has some great stuff. This will be a good help for other people searching.

gmag thanks for recommending vwwestland's thread. Anyone else have good blogs or blog-esque threads to recommend?

All the blogs on this directory have been added to my blog's links now, too. I'm not driving much traffic through mine, but maybe it will get a couple of people to click through to your blogs ... plus every link helps raise your google search rankings.

There you go - smile at your Blog titles tattooed on my parchment \:D/ (I should add that it's in no particular order, for now, except for Mathieu2k4's Volkswagen Wonderlust. Sorry man, I don't expect many french readers!)

From Mr. Wick I. Pedia, Ph. D.:

Quote: A blog (a contraction of the term "web log")[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic.

Click some of the links on the directory. You'll mostly find that we're sharing either our stories of restoring our buses or traveling in them. There is some general VW interest posting sprinkled throughout, but primarily these blogs are about sharing experiences.

I hope that by this coming summer my wife and I will be able to get some time to do some camping, but with her work she will have to take some weekend vacation. She is a 7 day person.

Deltfather Wed Nov 04, 2009 11:51 am

Chug chug thread added ... man, that's a great/sad thread.

I'm thinking about changing the title to The Bay Window Bus Thread & Blog Directory. More descriptive or too wordy?

Our list is already very impressive, but I want to be sure that we're not missing some other awesome threads because their authors ignore this thread when they see "blog."

What does everyone think?

Our blog is http://www.pennyntranny.blogspot.com

It isn't anything too special; just us rambling about the work we do on our VWs.

Thirteen I know you are - Who else is actively on the road in their VW and regularly updates a blog I can link to for an article? Or is planning to be for the summer 2010? What I'd like to do is get at least 10 active blogs from bus drivers who are on the road for the summer and a photo of their bus with a paragraph descriptions of their destination (if you have one) and maybe a short bio. I can scrape most of that from the blogs myself. Everything will link back to you, of course. Anyone out there that fits the description?

And my blog submission:

Blog Name: freewheelings
Brief Description: I spent the first 10 years of my "adulthood" as an engineer. I intend to spend the next 10 as a vegabond in my '71 bay, and I hope to find a way to earn a living doing it. My blog is about travel, the great stuff the world has to offer and making my own path without the aid of convention to any extent greater than that that I see as wholeheartedly fit

Hey Gringo,
I ran across this blog. I don't know these folks, but it''s an interesting bus blog to follow. You could contact them I am sure. Have a look:

My blog is mostly about restoration at this point, but you are welcome to have a look. Hope you like it.

I would be interested in reading about the blogs you find. I especially love reading the "on the road" stories.
Keep me in mind when you publish the list.
