View original topic: Why is Zenith the best? Engine size limits for Zenith Carb?

I've been looking into getting a Zenith 32 NDIX carb and was woundering what engine size they are optimum for? I have a 1600DP as of now but plan on putting larger pistons etc on it eventually and want to make sure it will still be the carb I want down the road. I am also woundering why Zenith is better than say one 40mm carb?

Thanks for the help!!

There's a Zenith thread 4 or 5 post below - take a look, alot of useful info in that thread.

From experience i can tell you... i've used both, a single 40idf and a Zenith (on the same engine). The single zenith felt best with no flat spot at all and was almost trouble free, onced tuned.

Ya, stick to the zenith thread that is a sticky we are trying to keep all the info in one spot. To answer your question though, it is the float bowl design that really gives it he off road stability that makes it legendary, amongst other things. There are jetting charts and modifications posted in the large zenith thread as well to make them work with a 1200sp and up.

As noted, please stick to the Zenith carb thread.
