I have spoken with Orangeburg Dragstrip and they are going to let me hold the event at their track. It will be on Saturday July 17, 2010. We have the ECPRA confirmed with both Pro Stocks and Pro Mods running. We also have a confirmation from Unlimited Street East to be there. We will have 2 or 3 bracket classes as well. The Friday night cruise in will be held at another location this year. It will be much closer to the track and more conducive to cruising. And of course my band will be playing.

I will update www.vwdragnight.com with the new info after I post the results from the event. I have been waiting on Hot VW's to print the story so they can have first crack at the story since they were kind enough to make the trip over. Dean informed me that the feature will be out in a few months.

This is the site for the drag strip. They have a very intense tech inspection so make sure your cars are up to the IHRA rules. They have a rules page on the site.

I know that there will be more details to follow but do you know now if there will be camping at the track again? The first show weekend was great so I can only imagine that this one will be even better.

I had a blast this year so I can only imagine that sucess and a year to make better on it 2010 will be sweet! I'll be there hopefully with "lil wheezy" running USE. [-o<

The way i understand it, you have to imagine the first event as well since you dont remember most of it even though you were "there" .

from the look of the track on google maps (satellite) there is a large field there so a HUGE swap meet might be possible.

i just got off the phone with the track. camping is allowed starting on friday. probably earlier if anyone wants! lots of food in the concession. pro stocks, pro mods, USE, and 2 or 3 brackets. should we run a sportsmans class? car show, vendors, swap meet, and whatever else you guys might want or suggest.

i am ready to get all the planning going and i am open to any and all suggestions.
