Does anyone have a picture showing how the speedometer cable is hooked up to the left front tire...I'm most interested in one showing how the cable comes through the drum and and connects under the grease cover via the 'C' clip. BTW is for a '79 SB vert, but I am pretty sure they are the same as all other SB's.

I can dig up photos of my drum install, or take photos of my car. But I'm not really sure what you're asking for.

The cable (and cable sheath) comes through the center of the left spindle, which is hollow. I pull the cable and sheath as far as it will go, the put the cap over the square end of the cable, then push the cable back through the spindle as I put the cap on.

What's your situation? Are you about to take the drums off and don't want to mess it up? Or are you putting the car back together and don't know how to route the cable?

The speedo cable was missing....I just finished the front end brakes and was having a hard time figuring where the cable ends....as I can see where it goes in the back of the brake plate, but am unsure if it goes all the way through to the axle nut or not....found the nipple and 'C" clamp...just unsure and can't seem to find any pics.

It goes all the way through the hole in the grease cap which is where the c-clip goes on
