My friend has a bug with a rebuilt 1500 single port engine. I set the carb and timing perfect. The engine runs really good but when I drive it I have to give it a good amount of gas to get it going in 1st gear and also when I downshift to 2nd at around 10-15 mph it seems to bog down (note to revs perfect at a stand still!)
I have a Cabby and it accelerates alot smoother at 1st gear start off! What gives???? Is there something wrong with this bug? |

Check compression?
Or perhaps something in "I set the carb and timing perfect." isn't as perfect as you think?
