I've been running a new set of Empi HPMX 44 carbs on freshly rebuilt 1.8L. The carbs run great when warm but I live in the northeast and as it gets colder It's more of a battle on start up without chokes. I see the choke block off plates on the side of the carbs, is it possible to add chokes to these carbs? I'm fine even with manual cable adjust carb.
I originally had new solex pict 34(south american) but found lots of quality control issues and linkage hook up problems with my set so I shelved them.
Appreciate any feedback!

| Those are not chokes... they're enrichment circuits. |
