VDO is pretty good. I put in single float replacement part. I installed one a while back. If you can't find VDO, this seems like a pretty good deal.
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=...0Sender%20(For%20Gas%20Gauge)
Try www.cip1.com also. They have a wide selection of parts.
Good luck,
Mike. |

I'm not really sure. I just went with the replacement model on my 79 spb. Started with a south american brand, and it didn't function correctly at all, so I replaced it with a VDO and it's working fine. That was about 3 years ago. If you have stock equipment already, I'd go with the replacement model. I've gotten really good products autohaus, and Cip so that's why I steered you in those directions.
Good luck,
Mike. |

The 2 floats are designed to address the shape of the SB fuel tank. The single float design will be less accurate. (accuracy is relative)
If the floats have leaked, try to replace just those (perhaps a yard). Would be good if the vendors would carry those.
