Well i started another project! Its a 71 baja,i am planning on long traveling it every where, im going to do a-arms on the front as well i want to do 3x3 but i just picked up 2x3 so i guess they will do .thisproject is going to be slow-ish because of money flow, cause im only 15.
So today i picked up some BA 2x3 traling arms, they mount up really weird, and i had to use swing axle torsion bars to do it, ill post pics later tomorrow of them, they got a dual shock mount as well.
They body is off at the moment, and it has a roll cage in it that im just going to add to, im going to be using 1 1/2 .120 wall tubing. until i get money to get disk brakes on the front ill be using my drums on the a-arms. But itll be fun!! Im trying to sell my dunebuggy right now to fund this project, but i have enough to start now.
Pics to come!!! |

| I think those are called bearing covers. Ask for a axle seal kit. i believe they are the same from swing axle to IRS. |

I honestly think i did something wrong while putting it togeter but who knows, butt i did manage to make it lowered, so now i have to take the trailing arm off of the spring plate to re-index it. whoop de do! |

All right, i got the other side done! Does it even matter if i have the seals on the trailing arm where the backing plate hooks up on both sides, cause there a real pain??
Il post pictures tomorrow, im going to try to get the body on so i can start working on the cage as well!
And i have to notch the spring plate to get it to sit right, cause they are custom made and they made them to big and i barelly get any ground clearence, only 11". |

Okay, i notched the left side, and im getting about 12-12 1/2" out of it. It getting hot out now so im gonna stop for a bit.
But when i put the axle bolt on and tighten it, it doesnt allow the wheel or anything to spin, it doesnt do this on the other side though, any thoughts??? |

| I dont even have a cv joint bolted to it yet, it looks like brake drum is hitting the backing plate, so i must have missed placed something in there. |
