O Sven, the VW Sunshine Treffen has started to make our bookings.
we'll be staying @ Fort DeSoto campground over the bridge in Pinellis county for the Wild 4 Life wkend.

we have some VWs from other points North East joining us as we caravan down the coast. so far we're looking at about 11VWs.. not too shabby. and ANYONE is welcome to join in, either at just 1 stop or for the entire trip.

I'll want to chat with ya about catching one of your golden tix, so we as a group could have a VW from NY on display. maybe the Audi 5cyl Turbo powered one 8)

Please keep us in mind and I'll make a point to catch ya and say Hey..

I am SOOO looking forward to the trip and your event. especially as we get our 1st snows here in Upstate NY.

I can't wait! So this year the golden tickets are for bugs and the busses are on spa beach? I don't know which area I like more. 8)

danfromsyr Fri Nov 06, 2009 1:47 pm

Ahhh ya knowm, I missed that detail. wel that's kool, then the Treffen group of us from NY can more likely stay together, a nice way to bask in the FL VWs. 8)

For those interested in camping at Ft. DeSoto park I strongly recommend making your reservation now http://pubtitlet.co.pinellas.fl.us/parkspub/pk_desoto_area1.jsp as from my experience reservable sites for that weekend will be gone months ahead. I recommend loop with sites 1 through 85. Just made my reservation. At $75 for Friday and Saturday it's quite expensive but having two camping buses on-site has never been an issue there in the past.

Tomasz, What site are you booked on @ Ft DeSoto? we're planning on our coming down from NY and will have about 10VWs staying there.

are they REALLY more relaxed about the 2 VWs on a site?
I'm not sure I'd want to push it 5 sites for 10 VWs and have a occupancy issue. but the saved $$ would certainly help.
we're not late night rabble rousers, mostly mid 30's+ families and friends.
