Just got home from the Sarasota Show (good time). And golden ticket # 27 was waiting in the mail box! Can't wait! Thanks Sven

vwcadets Sun Dec 13, 2009 1:43 pm

Thankx Don No problem! yea the Suncoast Motor Sports show was fun and a really good turnout too....(I counted over 50 show cars)...also I signed up 2 more type 1s for the Pier show so ad to the growing list #29 Greg & PJ Carr they have a stable of type 1s and will be driving the 1952 splitwindow!! (nice choice Greg :!: ) I'm gonna let Greg lead the 2nd convoy out of the Publix for the Skyway event my thoughts are ALL the split window bugs would be up front to leading the second group into traffic and onto the interstate(15 minuets or so later) behind the buses...they go nice and SLOW so everyone will be able to keep up!....remember that last year the second group acutally caught up to the 1st group just in front of the toll plaza!...aaah the traffic filled memories  anyhow # 30 is Bradentons own Richard Mock hes got a NICE 1972 vert! ...everyone will enjoy seeing this car....thankx to everyone who came up and said "hi" @ the Camber booth...next up is the Quaker Steak&Lube show early January I think?...see ya there...Happy holidays everyone stay in touch!....Sven out

Yeah, Sven these are the De Soto sites so far,
we'll have a couple more coming in from the Coastal Treffen,

I'm sure the local campers will also be over at the lake manatee S.P as well.

Good choice for the leader of the second convoy! That was a beautiful car! We actually left a little after 15 minutes last year and still caught up. I tried my hardest to stay slow. Oh well. Hopefully this year half of the second convoy doesn't decide to take the wrong exit

...they go nice and SLOW so everyone will be able to keep up!....
Sven, I not sure about that! On the way home Saturday I was passed
buy a split on the interstate and I was going 75mph

WOO-HOO!!!
I just picked up Gold Ticket # 15 from Classic Camber, See you guys there :D

toolman2800 Sun Dec 20, 2009 7:52 am

I am startin to think some of us should meet on the north side of the skyway and cruze south since a bunch of us are stayin at Ft. desoto.

Hey Sven whats the deal with spa beach. we should have plenty of room even if I don't pre register right? I may bring the bug but it is iffy so I think I will skip the golden ticket this year.

vwcadets Sun Dec 20, 2009 8:30 am

Hey Toolman YEA Spa Beach will have PLENTY of SPACE! for everyone to group up and party :!: Im selling the vehicle passes already $5 each for those who wanna have it in hand before the show..(.with the piers uncertain future)Im treating next years event like OUR last :!: :( :!: lets PACK the PARK!...10 years later an maybe this event has run its route TOO :?:

toolman2800 Sun Dec 20, 2009 9:07 am

Come on Sven, Don't give up so quickly, there are plenty of great spots in St. Pete to throw a show. Wild Weekend should never die.

Check this out. It is the European Spa Show. Maybe you can call yours Spa West. Or Spa American.

toolman2800 Mon Dec 21, 2009 4:13 pm

Well what ever you do you'd better make plans to come back and visit on a regular basis. 8)

I would love to take it on but unfortunatly I am not in a place in my life where I can afford to do it. But you never know. I talk to you in 2 years. Besides, I am not sure if I quilify to run it since I refuse to run any safety meetings.
