driving along tonight and she just shuts off. so i try and start it while rolling starts right up for a few seconds to get into parking lot then shuts off. get parked and notice the fuel gauge says it's just going on reserve. so i go get some gas and fill her up. go to start won't start. she tried to twice but never fired up. cranks over and that's it. figured i flooded it so left her sit and came back 4 hours later and same things. just cranks over. could my fuel pump be out!? or are my plugs just that wet possibly!? thanks in advanced for any help

Pop the line off the carb, then turn the engine over a bit (of course keep the hose in a cup or something) and see if gas comes out. If it does, you've got fuel pumpage.

Check your points, maybe the points rubbing block wore down and they're no longer opening. Gap on a distributor cam would be 0.016 inches. And put a little dab of grease there so it doesn't happen again.
