Have you checked out the buggy wiring kits? They come with anything you will need for around $60.00 (if you reuse the stock switchs and lights already on the car). And you should be able to do it your self in a few hours. (ok it takes me a few hours) it might take you longer.
But this is something you should be able to do. |

There is no such thing as a $60 dollar kit that does it all and you can do in a few hours.......
I have wired 4 fiberglass dune buggies, and a 32 FORD Roadster (hot rod) and a 47 FORD with FI 5.0L and it takes a long time and lots of materials to do it right... Plus patched a severely rat chewed wiring harness in a 66 BAJA.

Hello,
I went down to the local electronics shop and bought ALL the stuff I needed for about 100 bucks. I made my own loom. I bought a 12 fuse panel. It sure was ALOT of work.....now it is done. Here are some of the things I bought:
Mosty 16 and 18 gauge wire some 10 gauge also
Good wire stripper
Heat gun
LOTs of heat shrink tube
wire ties
solder and new solder gun
rubber grommets
LARGE assortment of connectors
This can be done by the average guy that has a little patience. I was glad I did this myself
i hope this helps ya

I just used one on my car. For the price, it's an ok start. The fuse box is cheesy, but it works. You'll need battery cables and want other stuff. I ended up with lots of extra wire for a street legal Baja. It took me a weekend as I soldered all connectors, ran conduit, installed relays, etc. Maybe $100 invested?
I'll probably replace the fuse box with a blade style at some point, and will get one from Delcity, not Painle$$, as I already set up a custom relay block. Another small investment.
I used more of Dale's diagrams than the one included with the kit, too.
If I had to do it over again, I'd just do it from scratch. More money, better result. Imagine that.
