Your car is trying to tell you something.

| You don't need to take off the chrome ring. I put mine on easily by GENTLY squeezing them into the the chrome ring. It took me a while to figure this out. Don't squeeze them too much because they will bend! |

I am having the same issue
jeer42, did you just set them under the rim of the crome ring?
couldnt they just fall out? |

not sure if it's the same on a bug, but on my '71 bus I had to put them between the sealed beam and the retaining ring itself, NOT between the retaining ring and the headlight trim ring.
It was quite frustrating, but once I realized my mistake they went right in. |

Yes, they go underneath the ring. There should be a flap on the top of the brows that goes under the ring. That was how I put mine on and they fit perfectly without falling off. I am not sure if this is the correct way, but it worked for me since these things didn't come with instructions! Hope it works for you as well! |

Please people. They're eye lids. Not eyebrows. Do they look like fuzzy caterpillars above the headlights? No. They look like eyelids that blink over top of the headlights.
And they look like ass on 67 & up headlights, too! |

In your opinion...
Seems to me that the OP asked how they went on, not what they look like.
I'm just saying... :D |

If you want to get technical, they would be closer to eye lashes.

| I think that they make the car look sleepy or stoned. In a way I like them, and in a way I don't. I always wondered how or if they change the light that shines from the headlights.... |

| As far as i can tell they change the light by reflecting some of it down right in front which really does not help or harm and they cut off some of the light beam that goes high especially with hi beams on so if I have the hi beams on I rarely get flashed at. I do have h-4 lights too. |

Mine are kind of "off-centered" for this reason, and I run HIDs on my car.
