Well today started as a good day and ended as a pretty bad day for me :(
I finally got everything situated, engine in and running good. Drove it for the first time today to the DMV got it registered and insured. Drove it around a bit very excited to finally be running. Drove for less than 15-20 miles and was a couple blocks from my house when i heard a terrible loud clacking noise like one of the adjusters came loose. NOPE. I SUCKED A VALVE!!!! :(
I adjusted the valves a few times before driving it and i did everything right. It was the exhaust valve on #3. Before ever running it that adjuster was different than the others so I'm guessing it was something the machinist did wrong?? What could cause this to happen so soon??? Looks like im down and not running AGAIN..... :( |

Well i took it all apart AGAIN and got the valve fixed and got it back up and running on Tuesday :)
Finally got to take it out for a nice drive last night and it runs much better than it did before. I hope this is the end of dropping this engine. [-o<
Anyways, here are some updated photos of how it sits now. Still have a few things to do like install the Sapphire 1 radio that I have for it and get the turn signals working but other than that it seems like a good daily drive for now 8)
