Our gear is worn out. I have adjusted it per Bentley but it was dry so long with the PO, the gear just has too much freeplay everywhere unless I over tighten it. I was going to buy a new one that looked the same as the original from Econo but the ones they stock don't actually match their photo; the one they sell is like the TRW one. If I can't find a NOS OG one, I am considering a rebuilt one. Does anyone have a recent really good experience with a rebuilt late steering box? I don''t even know if they can really even be rebuilt - Bentley says no. I know Scott was trying to convince ZF to do it for awhile but I don't think anything came of it.

How many threads do you feel are necessary to ask the same question, about the same part?

These threads are just the ones started by you in the last couple of months asking the same questions about steering boxes. Please, rather than start a new thread with the same question every time you get a wild hair up your ass, feel free to revive one of your multiple older threads already going. Reported. |
