Hi all, I replcaed the Drag Link on my '75 yesterday but I can't get the nylock nuts to tighten all the way. Once they''re slightly snug they turn the ball joint stud thing they're attached to. Am I missing something here? How do you tighten these all the way?

Either try an impact wrench or use the old castle nut off the original to torque the link into the taper, then replace it with the new nut.

if there is an allen head socket in the bolt use it. Make sure the hole and the end are both clean and not greasy or waxy. I've had one or two that I've held together with a c-clamp until I could get them tight enough to stop turning.

I had that problem with a tie-rod, so I used a puller tool to press it in a bit:
Not sure you have the room to do this were the drag link is located but maybe you could use a smaller puller? |

All it needed was some hand pressure to push the link into the arm and the nut caught! My steering is perfect now - there's no play to speak of. Drives like a dream
