| Is it by eye? The back ones were pretty straight forward but the side ones seem much tougher. |

Since nobody seems to know I guess I'll just make a template and figure it out.
Here are the back ones:

I see you have a few cop stickers on your rear window...does that correlate with your desire for "jail bars"?
Or just a way to keep away those pesky cops?
I'm rollin' with this old school NRA patch to do the same...

| If you can/want to buy the "side" jail bar brackets, that will be the best way to figure out the length of the bars. Check the Classifieds as I've seen them here, and they are different from the rear window brackets. :D |

Nice sticker! I had an NRA sticker on my old car which was recently stolen (twice). I have donated to the police fund before. The stickers do help if you get pulled over as they assume you are not some hippie freak who will spit on them.
I have to find my other NRA sticker so I can put it on my Bus... I am a member after all.
One sticker that came on my Bus is the "EST" sticker on the roof... a cult from the 70s/80s in Marin, Kalifornia but nobody remembers that anymore.
I didn't know there were different kinds of side jailbars... I already bought them. I'm going to make a template I guess so I can get them installed correctly. Maybe I'll post some pics of the process if I don't screw them up! |

Not too tough but took me about 90 minutes for the side ones, an hour for the back ones... made a template they look good to me I think.

Yes and they are! The interior shot makes it look as thought they aren't but it's just the angle which is why I took the exterior shots.
Job not too bad just a lot of lining up. I did use some wood to make sure I spaced the side bars the same distance on each side though.
Just drilled a pilot hole then sunk the screws. Metal on the screws way soft or my drill has too much torque. Have to be careful not to strip them.
I bought mine at Bus Depot.
Here's another shot of the side one:

Egad people! Little screws should go in by hand; don't be so lazy!
Looks nice. Good work :) |

After working in the cramped confines of the back measuring and drilling my back couldn't take it! Good thing there were "extra" screws in the packaging!
Thanks for the props.
