Anyone know if an autostick shift rod (73 standard) is the same as one for 4 speed tranny?
Thanks |

That's what I'm doing with my 73 std. I hooked the autostick rod up today but it didn't shift properly. I have an adjustable coupler I can weld to the rod. How much shorter was the autostick rod? |

Just a couple of inches don’t remember how many but I replace the shift rod and the shift rod bushing when I was at it.
I was much easier to weld and grind |

| I ran into that also. I had a 69, and it was an auto, that I changed over to 4 spd. The tube was definately different! |
