| OK I'm completely puzzled here i was heading home in my 71 super baja IRS. I was driving up this hill to head on home and when i was shifting into second when all of a sudden it would go into second but the gear would not engage. I pulled over and i thought that hmm maybe the tranny went so i opened the bottom of the tranny to check if there was oil in there and there was and to check if there was any metal shavings in there and there wasn't. Well i was at a loss so i towed it home took the engine out and found that the clutch disk had completely disintegrated. Well i was full of joy :D "Yay a cheap fix". I put another one in put it all together started the car. :D I was set......or i thought i put it into first and it goes perfect...i shift into second....and its still in first.........and shift into third and the same.........even when in neutral its still in first.... so now i know its the tranny but is it an easy fix or am i gonna need to get another trans? I would appreciate your help! |

| Set screw on the coupler or the nose cone/hockey stick. Both are easy fixes |
