The guy that did my 70 vert; molded the fenders in with the car. I'm looking to start working on it this winter. I'm considering having the car repainted. With that, maybe not having the fenders molded in but back to the orig design. Any suggestions? I know the way it is has restricted the size tire I can put on it. Thanks.

are the fenders welded to the body or just have a bondo 'bridge'? Perhaps fiberglassed joint?

Well, if they're welded then it would almost be a futile effort to get them back to their original layout. If they're bondo'd or filberglassed, then that crap can be removed with minimal effort.

It would take a good tig welder a month of Sundays to weld that much bead. I'm voting it was Bondo'd. Nice to see you are fixing that. Unbolt and they should break free with minimal effort. '70 verts are sweet cars.
