my swampers are bias ply they are pretty loud. one of my mane objections to them.

i have 225/75/16s on my stock spring 85, which is about 18.5 to the bottom of the fender from the center of the hub. i had to do a LOT of work to get these to "fit". i use fit loosely. they still rub on turning while the spring compresses a "little. driving straight, it wont rub no matter how compressed. but turning is where its gonn a get you. i dont think you are gonna want to do this, but thats just me. you have a higher lift thn me, may i ask what kind of lift it is? so you might have better luck with the size ih ave, but just barely. i would go a little smaller. good luck.

By the time you put tall tires on it will be cheaper to find one of those european R&P that are taller for a AT trans they sell for about 1000-1200 dollars

Swampers might be part of the problem w/ low mileage due to rolling resistance? From what I've read, more tread== less mileage.

What about some Nokian Hakka Van C's? Nice highway tread designed for passenger vans.

They make a set that is 205/70/R15, load rating 106, 794 revs/mile.

Just 2.5% "taller" than a stock 185R14 tire.

Thanks for all the info guys. I went out and bought a gps last night. when we were driving the other day. my wife asked me to stop speeding i told her i wasnt. So after researching about tires and gear ratios and what not I began to suspect my speedo was not accurate. so i went out on the local highway here posted limit is 60mph. I put the van up to 60 mph according to the speedo and got a reading of 74-75 mph. I was a bit shocked the old wbx always had trouble holding those speeds. It was old and tired of course. So that would explain my gas mileage I was traveling at close to 8o mph on my trip the other day. And im not getting an accurate reading on my odometer so i have no idea what kind of mileage im getting.
