View original topic: Factory Speedo Installation…in rail

I just picked up a very nice 68/69 factory speedo off Ebay. It has fuel, alternator, turn signal, oil & high beam indicators.

I know I’ve seen a wiring diagram for this same speedo here but I can’t seam to find it. It was a " hand drawn" sketch showing power, ground & indicator wire connections. Can anyone help?

Also, I want to install it remotely. I was thinking in either a headlight bucket or large gauge mounting cup. Anyone ever done this? I have a few ideas on how to make it work but was hoping to find someone who’s already done it…maybe get a few ideas and/or pics on how it was fitted in the bucket.

Thanks, Toby

Thanks Dale. That tells me everything I need to know except for the fuel gauge. I’ve attached a few pics for reference.

Fuel gauge has two spade connections. Do both these connections come from the fuel sender…or…is one of these connections power from ignition?

Thanks, Toby

for the fuel gauge, power wire goes to the big silver box thingy. ground wire to fuel sender goes to terminal just to the right of box thingy.

The box thingy is a "voltage stabilizer" for fuel gauge.......
