Hello everyone,
I just upgrade my 37 amp generator to a 85 amp alternator. Now when I start it up the generator light stays on. I switched the brown and green wires around thinking I hooked them up wrong and still same issue. I was thinking the light might be on because it is designed for the stock generator, not an alternator...any thoughts??
Thanks

| I think you might have to swap the green and brown wires there the brown one should grounded o the alternator with a screw the green should be in the plug in |

| The warning light wire for the 37 amp generator systems came off the voltage regulator that is attached seperatly. You need to find that lead, it is a blue wire. Now that you have what appears to be a alternator with an internal regulator, you need to figure out where that gets hooked up to. See what your installation instructions say. |
