I hope this will help others, Here is the conditions new name brand battery less then 10 months old. Problems with van below 20degrees, starting problems asked for help on this forum and got suggestions all great help, suggestions were clean grounds, new temp 2, spark plugs etc. The problem was the new battery  this battery would start the van when it wanted to, the battery was growing spurs, that's right chalcium spurs between the plates. I checked voltage, I had the voltage and amps checked by my Flaps, alternator checked which was new, wiring checked out, But the spurs  I asked my local Flaps and one of the countermen had work for a major battery manufacture for over 10 years and he checked the battery and it was good and said that he had seen spurs grow and break off in the battery causing this and the spurs would short out plates. I had never heard of this and did not believe this for one second  We then replaced the battery with another new one and the next cold snap, the van started easy! Rant is over just remember that the other battery checked out great :P
