I went back into town after I installed it and I did not have any ice build-up. The carb and intake where nice and dry. It is supposed to be colder next week so I will be able to see how it works then.

Is the bottom of the tin open? If so, it might be even more effective if you could come up with some way to seal it off so that all the air must come from the pipe.

I think you should paint it black. Looks cool!

The bottom is open for now. If it works as it is I will leave it open. If not, it will be easy to make a flat bottom for it.

Just to show how useful old kitchen tin can be, take a look at my switch panel... 8)

It was about 28* this morning when I left for work. When I made it to work I checked the carb and intake and they both where dry. No ice build-up or moister on the carb. The warm air box worked fine.

It has gotten down to the low teens since I installed the warm air set-up and still no icing.
