Normally, I shy away from JCW, but I got a catalog that shows "Sport Recliner Seats" for the VW Beetle. Their website shows them to be SCAT Pro 90 seats.
The price they list is good, and I have some discount codes for free shipping and 10% off. Best deal I can find anywhere on the Pro 90 seats.
The only question I have is about the mounting. It says rails are included and they're guaranteed to fit. I talked to a "rep" via chat at JCW, but I'm not sure how much they really know...
Has anyone tried these? Do they use the SCAT mounts that go on the stock rails? I'm trying not to weld or drill the floorpans.
Here's the seat: http://www.jcwhitney.com/jcwhitney/product.jcw?nva...id=2925260 |

| BTW, that $299 price is for one. The deal I found is for a pair, shipped, for much less than $598. |

| What year is your car? The Scats I put in my '69 20 years ago came with tracks that fit and still work beautifully. |

| Not sure where your at, but a couple of year ago I got the whole Scat interior with the Pro 90's for just over $600 from VW Parts Unlimited. Could not find it on the website, but when I called it was no problem. It included the matching rear seat cover and panels. |

Scat is Scat. Empi is a manufacturer, JCW is just a supplier. With the discounts and etc in this instance, JCW might have a use after all. :-k |

Well, I KNOW how the SCAT rails fit/work....I'm just trying to determine if the rails that JCW has are SCAT or some universal thing.
Might just have to take a chance on these... |

I had a Scat interior in a previous bug. The seats fit, using their brackets, without any modification. IIRC, they went in real easy.
However, the material that they used cracked within 8 months and Scat would not do anything about it. I don't recommend the Scat interiors. |
