| Your build looks to be coming out quite nice. The color matches the wheels well. Would you happen to know the make of the body? |

| It's a Spoiler by Desert Fox. I am in the process of color sanding and will start the FULL assembly soon. Carpet is in, brake lines, clutch cable and all wiring is done. Just need to get a hold of some money for the powerplant. |

Rims are funny, things that sound like a good idea look bad on some cars, sometimes they draw too much attention from other things, and you see people trying different rims over and over and over again on the same car trying to find the right look.
Your rims *make* that car. They're f-ing perfect. Wow. |

| Have you made any more progress on your buggy. I also have a Spoiler that I am just beginning. My progress will be slow I am sure, but thats ok. Do you have any idea what tail lights you will be using? |

| It's almost all together. I haven't been good about taking pics though. I just got the filler neck ded in the middle of the tank. I am avingI going to try and shoot it out this Thursday and then I can assemble all the front end and lights and mount the windshield. The tail lights are one thing that I am not to pleased with. I went with 4" round lights. I also have a 3rd brake light from the new beetle on there. Pm me some pics of your buggy. I love the spoiler |

I've been bad about taking pictures and keep this build updated, but here is the current update. Picked up a 1915 and did some work on it today. Almost got it installed but didn't have a clutch alignment tool. Decided to go with the dual mega exhaust. Performance may not be as good but I love how it looks.

| Its all coming together now. That should move the buggy quite well. I will get there some day. Right now I am working on cleaning up the tranny and then painting the rear suspension components. Are you using a vw steering column? If so, what are you using to adapt to the nrg steering wheel? I haven't come across an adapter called out for old VWs. |

| Yeah it's still vw. Had to do some customizing. I bought a boss wheel adapter for Honda and had to drill the center out to 3/4". I then put it on and drilled through both the adapter and the shaft and bolted them together. I just realized that the fuel line that comes out of the tunnel in the front does not make it all the way to the back. Kinda sucks cause everything is capreted and not I gotta figure out how to run it. |

| Run a metal fuel line under it in the pan bolt recess area. Use the bolts as a clip. Vw use this concept to run fuel return lines on fuel injected cars. If I am not mistaken you can still get these clips from VW. |

None of the FI cars that I know of run the fuel line along the outside of the pan. T-1 and T-3 both run them through the tunnel. They do run a vent line to the charcoal canister.
Maybe on Water cooled, where they do not have tunnels. |

Looks great. Would you happen to remember the specs on the rims. I have a spoiler also and tried some wheels but the front stuck out past the fenders and they were only 4" wide weld wheel pro lites.
Your car looks great keep up the good work and keep the pics. coming. |

| Outstanding! I love the mix of "old and new" that youve been able to achieve with your buggy. |

Given what you started with, this is by far the most amazing transition I have ever seen.
...and it is one of the best buggy bodies ever!
Awesome work Arthur. You truly should be proud of your awesome work.
