Guys just had engine rebuilt an got a oil leak already 2 weeks old
the oil is leaking at the part where it appears to bolt to trasmission
I have a feeling they will want to argue about this leak. You know vw's will leak.Tell me what I need to know about this befor I call them.It was a 1200.00 rebuilt job. |

| Everything will leak eventually, nothing should leak 2 weeks after a rebuild. I blew my engine up before it started leaking. |

| VWs do not inherently leak oil. Especially 2 weeks after a rebuild. What did they do for 1200 dollars? Complete R&R or was it just a longblock? |

You need to contact the people who rebuilt that engine, this is not your fault. Oil leakage there is indicative of:
1. Crankshaft oil seal under the flywheel (or improper crankshaft end play which causes that to leak). This is the most common source of leaks in this area.
2. Leak at cam plug.
3. Crack in the front of engine case. |
