i was a foolish teen who took my 69 and 72 bug to a shop for EVERYTHING
then in my early 20s i did the same with my 68 ghia.

when i turned 30, after i let a beautiful notchback go for 400 bucks, i swore that the next VW i owned would be not see a shop unless it was absolutely necessary.

im 36 now and wish i still had them all!

but now i have my baja, albeit a pain in the ass, and i'm loving it.

keep it up, it will pay off in the end

I had a couple in high school . . . been back into them for about 7 years now.

Clocked 40 in September and I am finally getting my first full, pan off resto put together. Nothing like it.

Good work, keep it up ;)

im looking for a set of either some single ports or dual ports any body know where some cheap runners are

74vwbuglove Fri Nov 13, 2009 10:46 pm

this makes me feel good
i got my bug when i was 14 too, gonna fire it up tomorrow :)

keep at it kid, by the time you're 15 and a half you're gonna have the coolest car out of all your friends
also you'll have a basic understanding of how cars work, which is worth more than all ive spent on my car.

The junk yard is your best friend..I'd go ahead and take a look at some junk yards, and pick yourself up some engine solvent and have at it! It worked wonders for me.

we need a thread for young v-dub lovers. My daughter is doing the same with her 69. Shes swaped out front end for a disc brake adjustable beam, resealed trans shafts, tore down engine(waitn for heads) lowered the rear down. All while werking part time at the local v-dub shop for parts.
