I've been told that my problem with my bay 1600 could be the timing is 180 off. I remember years ago I had this problem and I corrected it by moving the location of the spark plug wires in the dist cap. I think I rotated the engine until the rotor pointed 180 from where it was on the number 1 plug wire and came on around 1432. Anyone else ever tried this. Beats pulling the dist if it works.

A lot of people have done it. It is a simple way to do it- if 180 out was the real problem.
