I'm guessing that it was either the sliding door or the panel behind it.

Nice bus George, enjoy the hell out of it, and I got the Bayderbecke name.
Admittedly only because my big bro is a professional Jazz musician and avid Jazz record collector (pre-dating myself...LOL). Good name nonetheless! BTW, I have not named one of my VW's in 35 years, mainly because I get so attached it is difficult to let them go............name them and I am F'ed!

The former owner was a very eccentric "cat lady", a PhD in history and an MS in library science, published author, college prof, ex WAC in WW2, etc., etc.

She bought the bus from a deadhead wanna be, and paid me to heat gun and scrape stickers when she first got it. She kept the dancing bear because her big tomcat was named "Bear". I think I'll keep it, too. Bear the Cat is still with us- adjusting to life in a new home as a lone cat, instead of the top cat of six.

yes, Daisy/ Bix does stink inside. They all traveled the country together. It's gonna take a lot of cleaning and deodorizing. Drives my doggie insane.

With torch and welder, all things are possible.

Wonder if kiefernet and Breezie will let us have our own TOOB sticky? :D Keep the rifraff out. :) Actually, if memory serves, Breezie would qualify as a member.

Ring and pinion, my boy, ring and pinion AND I fear it may be a worn pinion bearing that is allowing the pinion to spool out of proper contact with the ring under load. Fix it. Ring and pinions are not growing on trees.

Glad you're here, Tram. We haven't had that unique combination of generous technical advice and annoying politics since Colin left. :P

Nice bus, sorry that your friend passed away. Looks like the bus is in good hands, though!
