Jason c -I'll I can say is wow,I know thing beams were a little higher but stock no cut and turn ,nothin orig 195/75/14 tires ,I have 13" from bottom of beam to ground. So with a cut and turned beam ,3" raisied spindals from blind chicken racing ,and 7.00 x 15 tires ,I should have some serious ground clearence.

Stock height for a bug was about 6 inches. So it sounds like your thing is quite a bit higher.

This is my car with a 1/4" cut and turn with 181 arms and spindles. Same 30" tires that Lotrat has.

Cwrisley- you have some hieght under there! Thats what I'm looking for when finished. You dont even have raised spindals do you? Blind chicken racing says they take thing spindals and will raise them 3". But after looking at yours, that might make it to high, untill I figure how to get the rear to match .But yours looks really good .You dont remember how much hieght you got from turning beam 1/4" do you? Thanks jason and everyone for help and info.

181 arms and spindles are thing components, so he got ~2.5" of lift from that.

WOW! Any chance you can measure the height of the front end. My front tires are only 25 inches, and I've got about 12 inches. I wonder if my springs are worn because that looks like way more then 15 inches.

I think Cwrisley's car is rather fuddy duddy personally. Just not a fan.

Lotrat Mon Nov 16, 2009 5:48 pm

I just needs some reddish-orange paint to spice it up a little... and a bumper.

Jason C Mon Nov 16, 2009 5:55 pm

I can go bigger in the back with my reduction boxes. It would help even things out a bit with my 30's up front. I'm just not sure if mine is sagging or not. Either the front of his car is really high or it just looks higher with the rear down.

I dont know, looks more stauky and beefy to me. Looks racecar without rear windows too. I just like it better than yours, thats all.

In time good sir, in time!!!

Cwrisley-you through some 3x 3 rear arms in rear turn it a few notches and you'll have a sick rig, with some nice hieght. I looked at badbreaths car and compared to his nothing "fuddy Duddy" about yours at all .

if anyone was interested, i busted out the tape measure today and found out that after a cut and turn of 1/4" i have 10 inches of clearance in the front, a full 4 inches more than stock if i remember correctly. i didn't have much gas in the car but that's still quite impressive.

also my friends thing isn't cut and turned, he runs it pretty much stock and says it works fine.
